Babies start your engines...Kids just want to have fun!
GoBabyGo! is an innovative program that provides mobility to young children who have trouble moving on their own. The program was created in 2006 at the University of Delaware where pediatric researcher and designer Cole Galloway worked with experts and families to modify off-the-shelf toy racecars. Using Fisher-Price Power Wheel Cars, volunteers work in teams to modify, adapt and customize the cars. Research shows that once babies gain mobility all other areas of development thrive (cognitive, social, and emotional). In 2014 the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities partnered with the Haunnah Meyer Memorial Fund to bring the international GoBabyGo! initiative to Butler County.
